I often think about the Amish
I am heavily restoring and remodeling an old barn now. It is small but it is something about it that i really like.
I am preserving the western gable. It has just over 12 inch wide pinewood planks.
My goal is to make everything as simple as possible to get a really old look.
Other carpenters probably think I am crazy but I really want that old look.

I am building a new barndominium, and its going to be made of concrete and steel, two stories with the upper story having concrete floor.
I'll leave lumber buildings to the Amish.
