Nancy Mace keeps saying 'penis' to restabilize the binary. Every proud trans woman like Sarah McBride challenges their fetishisizing sexual dimorphism. Reaching for the 'phallus' (pun intended) is a flailing attempt re-secure the cis-binary. It won't work.…

F-35 components have been shipped from an RAF base to Israel fourteen times amid the Gaza genocide, it can be revealed.
At least two of the deliveries took place this summer shortly after Keir Starmer became UK prime minister.
The shipments were dispatched from a Royal Air Force base in Marham, Norfolk. They were transferred to Nevatim airbase which houses the Israeli air force’s squadrons of F-35 jets.

In recent months, the Israeli occupation has strengthened its presence in central Gaza by building up bases and demolishing Palestinian buildings, indicating preparations for long-term control, according to Israeli officials and satellite imagery.
The expansion has fueled speculation about Israeli plans regarding Gaza's future. Occupation leaders have expressed their plans to maintain occupation over Gaza after the war.
Last June, drawing on the largest trove of confidential American tax data that’s ever been obtained, ProPublica launched a series of stories documenting the key ways the ultrawealthy avoid taxes,
strategies that are largely unavailable to most taxpayers.
To mark the first anniversary of the launch, we decided to assemble a quick summary of the techniques
— all of which can generate tax savings on a massive scale
— revealed in the series.

Chuck Darwin reshared this.
Our first story unraveled how billionaires like Elon Musk, Warren Buffett and Jeff Bezos were able to amass some of the largest fortunes in history
while paying remarkably little tax relative to their immense wealth.
They did it in part by avoiding selling off their vast holdings of stock.
The U.S. system taxes income.
Selling stock generates income,
so they avoid income as the system defines it.
Meanwhile, billionaires can tap into their wealth by borrowing against it.
And borrowing isn’t taxable.
(Buffett said he followed the law and preferred that his wealth go to charity; the others didn’t comment beyond a “?” from Musk.)
Other billionaires used less conventional ways to avoid income, we found.
Tech mogul Peter Thiel amassed a $5 billion Roth IRA,
a type of account that shields income from taxes and is intended to help low- and middle-class savers prepare for retirement.
Back in 1999, Thiel stuffed low-valued shares of the company that would become PayPal into the account,
a maneuver tax lawyers said risked running afoul of IRS rules.
(It’s not clear if the government ever challenged the move.)
He set himself up to reap billions in untaxed gains.
(Thiel did not respond to questions for the original article.)
Thank goodness Robert Eggers saw Nosferatu (1922) on a bootlegged VHS.
Lots of folks are probably watching F. W. Murnau’s Nosferatu before Robert Eggers’ new remake premieres later this month. Obviously, the 1922 film played a huge rule in influencing Eggers’ ideas about how to present the classic vampire tale. But in a new interview with Deadline, he explains how seeing the original on VHS before it was remastered gave him a deep appreciation of how real it could feel.
The White House said Monday that a nearly week-old cease-fire agreement in Lebanon is "largely" being respected.
National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby described Israel's attacks since the deal went into effect as "sporadic," saying they were "expected" under the agreement's terms.
Lebanese media reported around 73 Israeli violations of the cease-fire deal since it came into force last week.
