Does anyone in my network know of a reliable and reasonable attorney familiar with name & gender indicator changes in Massachusetts? Firsthand recommendations only, please; I can Google. 🙃

GOP senators should be hounded mercilessly by reporters on whether they’ll knowingly support Patel now that Trump has made the corrupt reality of the situation so inescapably, alarmingly clear.

Does anyone know the proper way to universally disable font antialiasing in Flatpak (or at least a per-app override?)

I know I'm a bit of the odd one out, but I really like disabling font antialising on my systems. The text is just so much clearer and requires less eye strain for me. (Am I really the only one who feels this way? I have a screenshot with an example, but importantly it must be viewed 1:1, not scaled up or down, so right click/hold and choose to view in a new tab, then click/tap to view 1:1.) I've always hated things that make my screen image fuzzier/blurrier.

There are some caveats such as some more complex characters and bitmap fonts are horrible if the wrong size, but overall for me it is worth it.

There was a restaurant where I grew up that would serve Texas toast covered in scrambled eggs topped with chili for brunch. It was called #TexasCowboyChiliBreakfast. I loved it.

The US is totally screwed by bird flu now rampant in the dairy industry and the complete lack of adequate response at the local, state and federal levels. It looks like we have learned nothing from the epidemic spread of COVID-19.

Character Type: Visionary

Scott Myers
“They can see into the future… or think they can. They perceive possibilities when others see only walls. Often the power of their perceptions are matched by their zeal.” Those of you who have followed my blog for some time or taken courses with me through Screenwriting Master Class know how fascinated I am with character archetypes, specifically how there are five — Protagonist, Nemesis, Attractor, Mentor, Trickster — which recur in movies over and over and over.

They can see into the future… or think they can. They perceive possibilities when others see only walls. Often the power of their perceptions are matched by their zeal. These are Visionaries and they represent a character type we see often in movies.

There are actual seers such as Oracle in The Matrix (1999) and Blind Seer in O Brother, Where Are Thou? (2000)…

Tried to mod my brand new Playstation 1 to play copied games in the 90s, modding process failed. Removed the mod chip but PS1 would not boot and was bricked. I went to Blockbuster to rent a PS1 and returned them my broken PS1 within the hour. Crisis averted
