Ritrovate facendo pulizia. Tenute perché "non si sa mai". Risalgono agli anni 2000, quando avevo 18 anni e promisi a me stesso di passare da Win2k a #Linux. Non andò a buon fine. Quattro anni dopo passai a OS X.
Oggi, sfoglio quella del pinguino di nuovo con l'intento di passare dall'altra parte. Questa volta con più determinazione. Daje.

Character Type: Warrior

Scott Myers
“The keys to Warrior characters is to determine who they fight… how they fight… and why they fight.”

Warrior.

Naturally, the Warrior character type is about fighting, their stock-in-trade. But for whom do they fight? How? And most important… why?
There is the lone Warrior who is called upon to fight on behalf of victims such as Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981), Road House (1989), and Léon: The Professional (1994).
The Warrior character type is a natural fit for the role of Protagonist, but think about Mentor figures who have been trained in the way of fighting like Miyagi in The Karate Kid. Warriors make excellent Nemeses as well. Whereas Warriors associated with the Protagonist and his/her cause are generally going to be fighting for something other than themselves.
What other notable Warrior character types in movies can you suggest? gointothestory.blcklst.com/cha…

in reply to Steve Herman

Initially it should have been operational in 2012, with construction started in 2007. So, it's just12 years over date.

Oh, and it ended up costing €19.1 billion, not the initial pricetag of €3.3 billion, so that is a 470% overspend.

There is no published price per MWh, but I'm guessing it's 4 to 5 times the price of solar or wind energy.

The "Autism Epidemic" Is A Myth

There are many stories about autism in the alternative medicine space. One of the most common one is the myth that vaccines cause autism, something that has been disproven many times. Vaccines don't cause autism, and anyone who tells you that they do is either remarkably ignorant or lying.

But what not everyone knows is that even the most basic aspects of this myth fails to hold water. A common claim that you'll find from pundits such as RFK Jr. and the American right-wing these days generally is that autism rates are skyrocketing, and that this must have been caused by something. They usually then go on to blame vaccines, because they can't think of any other reasonable explanations for the increase.

In fact, we know that autism rates have basically not increased in the last fifty or so years. Instead, we have simply redefined what the term "autism" means to capture a bigger group of people.

Let's look at the data.

in reply to Andrew Pam

The actual spectrum designated as confirming the diagnosis of Autism isn't the problem. The article stated there hasn't been an increase in the rate of Autism...
It becomes problematic I think when the diagnosis is applied as a catch all for introverts and socially awkward individuals like myself... instead of looking for pathology that explains social awkwardness & introverted tendencies we all might be better served by recognizing them as personality traits and only as the traits of a given individuals personality...

Totally agree. There's a heavy pressure through social media to judge everyone by a single trait personality…then find a medical silver bullet to 'fix' something that may not need fixing.
