Winter Park Gondola situation today: broken portion of tower one stopped the lift around noon and 100+ people had to be extracted. No one injured and rescues happening smoothly. But significant crowds on the slopes as the main route up the mountain became unavailable.
If you’re planning to ski Winter Park tomorrow, maybe choose another spot until this is fixed.

As I scan, I send photos to my grandfather for names and other context relevant to them.
I'd been capturing them in a notepad doc, but it was getting out of control, so I spun up a SQLite database and Flask app to help capture notes which can be applied to shots series.

Typical speedups over vanilla Python are on the order of 10-100x or more, on a single thread. Codon's performance is typically on par with (and sometimes better than) that of C/C++. Unlike Python, Codon supports native multithreading, which can lead to speedups many times higher still.Codon is not a drop-in replacement for CPython. There are some aspects of Python that are not suitable for static compilation — we don't support these in Codon.
