But she was such a fabulous fit for the "intellectual" state. I wonder why she dropped.

This is the story, as near as I can reconstruct it, from al Abdulmohsen’s obsessive and extremely tiresome thread:

Some years ago, female Saudi refugees to Germany, who left Islam because they were inspired by the work of Richard Dawkins (I swear I am not making this up), ended up in the hands of [a Cologne-based refugee organisation called Atheist Refugee Relief], who housed them with a male employee whom these women accused of sexual harassment or abuse. Al-Abdulmohsen spent years demanding that German police investigate, and when nothing happened he developed a murderous rage, concluding that “the citizens of Germany” were collaborating to persecute ex-Muslim Arabs in service of a broader plot to Islamise Europe.

Hah, that's cool: I no longer need to force the desktop to run on #xorg with my #nvidia Optimus in order to have a second display active or to run games that use the graphics card. Everything working fine in #wayland now! That's gotta be the best feature from #fedora 41 for me. 🚀 #linux #gaming

"Google quietly introduced a new Google Labs AI search engine called Learn About that completely reimagines search [...] This new way of exploring content uses drill-down navigational menus called Interactive Lists and if the user scrolls down far enough they will eventually find links to human created content."

Awesome!

That sounds like EXACTLY the opposite of what I want when I'm searching.

A lot of people assume that somewhere in Britain there are sheds full of food that we’d distribute in a disaster. Surely there is a grain or butter mountain somewhere? Surely the UK government has a plan for such a crisis?

Nope. No sheds. No stores. No mountains of food. No plan.

All politicians say that food security matters, but no one admits that basically we don’t have it. Britain probably has less than a week of food supplies. The only food in the UK is what’s on the shelves of our supermarkets now, and what’s in their lorries on the way to the shops. Oh, and whatever you have in the fridge, plus a few crops growing on UK farms or stored in barns, and whatever is edible and roaming around in fields. And perhaps you could hunt or forage if you have a gun or a trap or two.

With #Linux 6.13-rc1 from megi's tree my #Pinephone battery isn't detected, as if it wasn't there. The battery still seems to work, I can use the phone unplugged, but not seeing the charging state is obviously an issue. My current best guess is an issue with the axp20x-battery driver probe. Has anyone else bumped into this, or maybe a hint where to start debugging? :neocat_floof:

Searching the driver (drivers/power/supply/axp20x_battery.c in the kernel source) for EPROBE_DEFER is easy enough, but I need to know which of the code paths that returns it triggers. Can anyone point me at documentation on how the deferred probe reason is set? Because this driver obviously doesn't so far, and at least having that would be very helpful. Sure, I could add printk, but… Meh, I want to do it right. :neocat_book_owo:

All the code paths in question try to get an IIO channel by name. That's not something I'm familiar with, where should those come from? It looks to me like they might be defined in a matching ADC driver. I wonder wonder what's wrong so they don't line up… :neocat_think:
