A question for Pixelfed users: Is it a good platform choice for artistic nude photography?

Relatedly, do you need to place a CW for each, individual post, or can you somehow designate an account as intended for mature audiences only? #PixelFed

in reply to Lance

Individual posts are federated and are likely to be viewed outside of the context of your profile, so you should still mark posts as sensitive (not sure if PixelFed has CW/summary text - their docs describe them, but there's also an issue still open about adding a field for this). I've found no mention of an option akin to Mastodon's "always mark media as sensitive", but that doesn't mean there isn't one.

Instances that don't require CWs are likely to be blocked by others.

@eishiya I appreciate the insights. I guess I was thinking along the lines of what Flickr does, where they flag an account as "safe" based on one's history.

Have you ever looked at visualizations of the data on global primary energy consumption? It reveals a lot and makes me realize just how great of a challenge the energy transition is. Also how futile the attempts are at changing energy source without drastically decreasing our energy use (#degrowth). If we want to stop climate change, that is. #Energytransition will take a long time.

Just imaging you call a taxi (or Uber) and this thing shows up, then you have to learn to stretch out your arm to indicate an upcoming turn.

Me: I wrote a tool that does a very specific thing I've wanted to have for a long time

Mastodon: Have you tried this other project that kinda does what that does but also a bunch of other shit you have to learn to get the thing you already have?
