I want to give a huge THANK YOU to @marci @mike and @emilynguyen of the @Flipboard and @surf teams for meeting with myself and @beardedtechguy last night.
The conversation was absolutely amazing, filled with laughs and good information talked about with regards to Surf itself.
I'm so honored to be able to participate in the early beta of Surf and to provide feedback to Marci, Mike and Emily that will hopefully help make Surf bigger and better than it already is.
It's so great knowing that when you do give feedback, that feedback is being listened to and often acted upon in the coming days/weeks/months. This is what makes good apps become great apps and I firmly believe that Surf is well on the way to having a very bright and popular future!

I just joined Friendica and am trying it out before I convince my wife to join. I've been on #Mastodon for a while (@vtdarksim@toot.community), but I finally radicalized her against centralized billionaire-run social media and she's loving it! She even got me to join #Pixelfed (Geoghooligan@pixelfed.social), and now I'm checking out #Peertube and #Funkwhale (funk.gravitywell.xyz/@vtdarksi…)!

New Kobo Clara BW Follow-up

Unfortunately I ran into another round of freezing issue while using KOReader so I had to factory reset the Kobo Clara BW and then I reinstalled KOReader.
Instead of using the Semi-Automated Installation Method like the other times I followed the Manual Installation Method based on KFMon which wasn’t that much harder.
After following the Manual Installation Method based on KFMon I haven’t had any freezing problems like before. There was one issue but I believe it was related to the battery running out of charge, not KOReader.
I updated my eBook and eReader Solution project post to reflect the change in installation methods and the subsequent resolution of the issue.
