Google updated its public AI principles page,
removing a section titled “applications we will not pursue,” which contained a promise not to use AI for weapons or surveillance.
When asked, Google’s referenced a new blog post stating they believe in creating AI that protects people, promotes global growth, and supports national security.
Given their massive investment in AI, cutting off potential revenue streams when the competition isn’t just seems unwise.

in reply to Fell • • •That kinda happened with me at one point. I ultimately decided to go through a few of the posts and see which ones I just scroll past. As in, what is my brain just filtering out.
I also looked for posts that interested me, but not necessarily positively. Certain people posted too much "doomsaying takes" for me (political, tech, or otherwise).
Dunno if this'll help, but my feed is more manageable after unfollowing such content. I can manually check account posts if I feel like it.
