Government workers are being pushed to resign. Entire agencies are being shuttered. Federal funding to states and nonprofits was temporarily frozen.

And the "most sensitive" Treasury Department information of countless Americans was opened to Musk’s DOGE team in an unprecedented breach of privacy and protocol.

Musk responded on his platform: “Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that DOGE is doing work that really matters.”

Less than two weeks into President Donald Trump's second term,
the CBS network's parent company Paramount is considering settling his lawsuit claiming CBS' coverage of the presidential campaign
—and, in particular, an allegedly deceptively edited interview with Kamala Harris
—was unfair and somehow harmed him.

Reports have tied this possible settlement to Paramount's planned merger with Skydance,
which Paramount shareholders fear the new administration could try to block or delay.

Notably, this also comes against a backdrop of President Trump's appointed FCC Chairman
Brendan Carr rattling his saber at broadcast networks that have earned the president's ire.

All of a sudden, von der Leyen found her voice and now she’s chirping about deepening trade ties with China. What a revelation! This dramatic shift in tone is no doubt fueled by the sight of Trump returning to the White House. Way to go, Europe! Burning bridges with China only to have to rebuild them when America’s chaos beckons. Smart move.

Strange, that was not the stance of french newspaper yesterday, they proposed after few days of "Shein" e-commerce lowquality news, bashing the whole Chinese e-commerces. They spoke about rising taxes of products bought on their websites, but not no Amazon.

But Amazon merely doesn't pay taxes, don't respect laws on workers conditions, use too big boxes filling our trashcans, and destroy lot of unsold products despite resources limits on Earth mothership and general problems about wastes recycling.

We will see what is changing in next days.

According to the FT, the EU is at least considering @pluralistic style IPR-based Trade retaliation measures against any Trump tariffs.

The “Anti-Coercion Instrument” under which such measures would fall, was originally designed to be used against countries using punitive tariffs to force policy changes, like Arctic territorial handovers or changes in Digital Legislation.
