FFS, CBC. The story is not that LNG is wildly popular at a #fossilfuels convention in Texas.
The story is that Danielle Smith is at that convention looking for investors to fund LNG in Alberta for Kevin O'Leary's proposed $70 billion AI data centre which he says she has promised him she can authorize.
Because AI needs the massive amounts of electricity which LNG could provide.

pretty much all of these people are about to be out of work and looking for jobs.
