The problem with modern sci-fi is there aren't enough mad scientists.

It's all Big Science. Boring.

Don't tell me about a mysterious facility employing tens of thousands of people whose purpose is somehow completely mysterious.

Tell me about an eccentric college professor who's spent his family fortune building a mysterious machine in his spare room.

Harvard has gone ahead and done what Columbia should have done a month and a half ago:
filed a lawsuit over the Trump administration’s illegal cutoff of funding for grants hosted at the university.

The statement from Harvard about this is here, harvard.edu/president/news/202…

the complaint itself is here. harvard.edu/research-funding/w…

Obviously I’m not a lawyer, but it’s impossible for me to believe that under the US constitutional system the president can legally issue an order to remove funding from an institution either because he thinks (see point 67 in the complaint) “Wouldn’t that be cool?”
or because he wishes to take control of an institution he doesn’t like and remake it to his liking.

Hey does anyone remember that time Hegseth drunk texted detailed confidential military attack plans to unauthorized persons on a Signal chat that he invited them to?

No, the OTHER time he did it

in reply to 𝐿𝒶𝓃𝒶 "not yet begun to fight"

If I had a nickel for every time we know of that Pete Hegseth invited an unauthorized person into a Signal group chat and then leaked detailed military plans to that person while in a drunken stupor... Well, I'd only have 10¢, but it's treason that he did it twice.
