We're back in January of this year. There's fresh snow on the ground. We're at the northern terminus of Sullivan St, in Gary Indiana, where the road meets the sand and then the sand meets Lake Michigan. We're looking up a path over the dune, where tan-and-white snow/sand covers the bottom third of the photo, and uniformly milky, overcast skies cover the top chunk, and in between, at the horizon, a sliver of emerald colored water shows over the top of the dune.

*blinks* Data got that sculpture from Lt. jg Jenna D'Sora in TNG 4x25. Data originally put it in _that_ corner for aesthetic reasons (the lighting contrast), but she suggested that it belonged in a more central place, so he moved it to a tabletop. Data's line here is in TNG 7x06, "Phantasms." We see that Data respects his friend (and ex-girlfriend) by retaining her gift, but he no longer feels it necessarily to please people by going against his nature.

So I got really bored (and lonely) at home and my fiancée was going to be off in a few hours so I walked to their work.

2 hours and 4 miles later I made it. even a year ago I don't think I would've made it out of the door. I have a bad knee and a lot of health problems that all interact with each other. I use a cane and a rollator (walker with wheels) some days.

I also got to flip off a Cybertruck! Pictured is not the shitty truck but the waterfowl at my local pond.

But anyway. Other than a blister on each foot I'm really happy and feeling alright. I did amazing!!! I just hope my body doesn't fight me tomorrow lol
