Participating in a debate about whether or not genocide is a good idea is inherently uncivilized.
Simply treating it like a valid argument shows that you are willing to entertain the idea as potentially valid, and thus, are also a genocidal maniac.

Post-mortem suggests that the rubber SSD heatsink pad underwent a phase change and liquefied, leaking slime all over the SSD and its socket. I won’t try to repair it, I’ll just restore what I want onto a 2019-era NUC that I keep spare.
If you’ve got a NUC of similar vintage, maybe migrate off it before you are also slimed.
