On this day 35 years ago, TGV unit 325 set the land speed record at 515.3 km/h on the LGV Atlantique.
This beat the previous record set by the same train on the 5th December 1989 of 482 km/h
Both these records managed to surpass the record set by an experimental ICE prototype in West Germany in 1988, which was 406.9 km/h on the Hannover-Würzburg line, thus establishing French engineering as superior to the German, at least on speed.
This record stayed current until 2007, when SNCF topped this with a TGV POS setting the new record at 568 and then 574,8 km/h.
TGV 325 is now decommissioned, and is kept at the Cité du Train in Mulhouse.

@eniatitova I also encourage you to email the library and let them know that you'd like one — I'm doing this for my own pleasure and Reasons but I'm also using it to promote library awareness as third spaces and ways to build community and I'm finding this traveling around is really helping me understand my own city. I think it would draw people into the library and do all those things. :)

Het enige waar Omtzigt status door gekregen heeft is zijn vasthoudendheid bij de toeslagen affaire, volkomen negerend dat hij met diezelfde vasthoudendheid aan de wieg gestaan heeft van diezelfde toeslagen affaire.

Dat je insteld dat kandidaten representatief en evenredig uit alle delen van NL moeten voor zover dat mogelijk is, is hopelijk al bij de verschillende kandidaten commissies al een uitgangspunt.
