Back when I was heavily involved in the early EV movement, there was always a guy popping up with some kind of homebrew perpetual motion idea. More than once it involved wind turbines on the vehicle! The press car I have on loan this week (luxury EV crossover) is heavier than the entry level F150 Lightning.
We need smaller, more efficient rides…

in reply to The Chaotic Good 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🖖 • • •@Aminorjourney I love my '22 Kia Niro. 64 kwh battery that gets me ~350 miles and I got it for $16k after a tax credit. When the Lightning was announced I thought it was too big and heavy and expensive to sell well (I have no idea how it's been selling).
The recently-announced Scout truck may find a market in the US.
