I find the article somewhat awkward, but the informations are useful, anyway.

And the illegality of Israeli blockade is easy for any reader (with reasonable sense) to conclude.

The article seems to suggest that, if the berserkers running Israel stopped starving the Gazan population, allowed in humanitarian aid, and refrained from kidnapping foreign nationals on the high seas, their blockade would somehow be a "legit," "wartime blockade."

But I don't think that's true, because the blockade of Gaza is precisely the form that Israel's illegal occupation of the strip assumed from 2007 on, as determined by the World Court.

The Court added that Israel's legislation and measures violate the international prohibition on racial segregation and apartheid. The ICJ mandated Israel to end its occupation, dismantle its settlements, provide full reparations to Palestinian victims and facilitate the return of displaced people.

Based on the information before it, the Court considers that Israel remained capable of exercising, and continued to exercise, certain key elements of authority over the Gaza Strip, including control of the land, sea and air borders, restrictions on movement of people and goods, collection of import and export taxes, and military control over the buffer zone, despite the withdrawal of its military presence in 2005. This is even more so since 7 October 2023. In light of the above, the Court is of the view that Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip has not entirely released it of its obligations under the law of occupation. Israel’s obligations have remained commensurate with the degree of its effective control over the Gaza Strip. The Court then turns to the rules and principles that are relevant for answering the questions put to it. These include the prohibition of the acquisition of territory by threat or use of force and the right of peoples to self-determination, which are enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and also form part of customary international law.
