Watch For Cyberattacks!
Now that the die is cast, a very real threat to the US is Iranian cyberattacks on US infrastructure.
For years, security experts have warned against the possibility of cyberattacks against US powergrids and/or other vital services.
If it were to happen, now would be the time for it to happen!

Trump regime in the 'situation room' during tonight's attacks.
It's once again time for the Breaking News Consumer's Handbook:
- In the immediate aftermath, news outlets will get it wrong.
- Don't trust anonymous sources.
- Don't trust stories that cite another news outlet as the source of the information.
- There's almost never a second shooter.
- Pay attention to the language the media uses.
- "We are getting reports"…could mean anything.
- "We are seeking confirmation"…means they don't have it.
- "[News outlet] has learned"…means it has a scoop or is going out on a limb.
- Look for news outlets close to the incident.
- Compare multiple sources.
- Big news brings out the fakers. And photoshoppers.
- Beware reflexive retweeting. Some of this is on you.
Once again, see the original blog post for elaboration and comments on all these points.

Iran State TV Anchor to Trump: ‘You Started It, We will End It’
An Iranian state TV news anchor showed a map of U.S. bases in the Middle East, which says are all “within fire range of Iran.” The anchor goes on to say “Mr. Trump, you started it, and we will end it.”Bob Price (Breitbart)
On Sunday I traveled to the middle of the Sonoran desert to capture the international space station transiting the sun while it was flaring. Earth added for scale. [OC]
Solar transits like this are tricky for me since I live in Arizona. The sun is only high enough for a "good” one during the summer- when temps are alwaysBYTESEU (Bytes Europe)
my summer solstice resolution was to start treating art and writing like a 5hr/week job. thinking of making Saturdays my work day since ive got normal job M-F and zine meetings on Sunday. this does reveal just how slow of an artist i am tho. here's 2.5hrs of working on my color.
my new method of working right now is to sketch, block in color, do some tone curve and balance adjustments, then shove it all into a folder and put one layer on top to paint over it. lineart is no longer its own thing

in reply to Josh Universe • • •The image is a side-by-side comparison of two distinct scenes, each framed in a circular format. On the left, the image depicts a fisheye view of Baku, Azerbaijan, Earth, taken on December 12, 2011. The scene includes a body of water at the bottom, with buildings and construction sites visible in the background. The sky is clear, and a contrail from an aircraft is visible, creating a teardrop shape. The image is credited to Tung Tezel.
On the right, the image shows a view from the Victoria Crater on Meridiani Planum, Mars, taken on June 16, 2008. The scene is dominated by a large, circular crater with a smooth, light-colored floor and a darker rim. In the center, a black teardrop shape is superimposed, likely representing a scientific instrument or feature. The image is credited to NASA/JPL/Cornell/ASU/TAMU.
Both images are presented in a circular format, emphasizing the unique perspectives of each location.
