Towers to the Winds
Let’s build a tower.
A monument, to the winds,
and to the memories they hold.
Let us remember,
as we build, that the sky brought
us together, unbreakably.
Though the gale has passed,
there is still the whispered voice,
and gentler breeze, to chase dark clouds.
Let’s build a tower.
Surely, the Moirae owe us,
at least, this comfort and honour.
The winds carried us
in dreams and visions, where they
had determined we should follow.
If we are to do
all the ancient Gods have asked,
we must remember, then walk on.
So, build a tower
with me. Then we can look back
without regret, and start again.
From new beginnings,
founded on memory, we
may build something even better.
Maybe, we will build
another tower, that will
stand firm, for our future lives.
Wherever the Fates
drive us, on these winds, I will,
always, build new towers with you.
Maybe, we will find
this tower of memories
is just a marker, on our way.

Have always failed at carrots but was still tempted to buy a tray of carrots I saw in a clearance box in a garden centre for 1 euro. Bought it and didn't bother separating the roots as I planted them, as I was so convinced that they would fail. But instead they grew, and as the roots were so entwined, they have grown very wonky.
All the same, they tasted glorious.
