Predator’s Pause
I originally thought the insect in this image was a dragonfly, but now I suspect it’s probably a grasshopper. Either way, it clearly caught the attention of this northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos). They seem to be getting along quite well—though, to be fair, that’s probably only true from the mockingbird’s perspective.

Thought geology was an American invention.
I mean, we had no more educational specialists, or researchers, or scientist explainers anyway, they were all either laid off or told they had to do toilet duty one day a week. And those that loved their parks have been doing it. But, he wants to liquidate forests anyway...😢
