“We will be delivering supplies + walking the line with our fellow union brothers and sisters in their ongoing fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and dignity on the job,” Peabody Firefighters union president wrote in a call to action for “solidarity.”

teamsters unionize federal prison guards because they used to *drive* the chain gangs to the fields. Now, bolstering their numbers and strike funds with public employees (which are harder to union bust) helps get other teamsters wage hikes. Therefore unionizing prison guards is in the interest of the union, but not the working class, who is being mass incarcerated.

This is one of many examples of how blue book unions divide the working class and are fundamentally counter revolutionary entities. Get your raise just like you would go for a promotion, but don’t pretend that it’s revolutionary at all.

1) Got to start the day early at the gym and had it mostly to myself at first - and then a surprising number of people came in. I like it empty, and I like that so many people managed to not be too hung over to come in before 9 AM.
2) In the lucky position to be able to buy a little art from local artists. Bought 2 pieces in the past week and it feels good.
3) A nap! Actually got a nap this afternoon!
