Interessante ontwikkeling.
Eerste gedachte: vergrijzing, maar de toename sinds 1996 (CBS) heeft een exponentiële vorm.
Corrigeer ik voor de leeftijd (aantal personen in leeftijdsgroep) dan is de groep tot 65 redelijk stabiel, daarboven stijgt het steeds harder.
De toename bij de hogere leeftijden gaat dus harder. Reden? Geen idee, er zijn er heel veel te verzinnen.

Dit is het figuurtje dat ik maakte als probeersel. Percentage betreft vallen / grootte leeftijdsgroep (jaarlijks).
Reden om de laatste twee jaar niet mee te nemen?
Ja, op statline liepen de bevolkings-aantallen naar leeftijd niet verder dan twee jaar geleden (kerncijfers bevolking, 1950-2022).
Vaak is er nog wel een andere tabel te vinden, of een prognose, maar ik wilde 'even snel' kijken hoe het lijntje eruit zag dus ik heb niet verder gezocht.

Ik wilde groepjes, want lui, maar vervolgens moest ik toch samenvoegen omdat de groepsindelingen verschillen. Bijgewerkte grafiekje staat er in ieder geval bij 🙂
Ik merk dat ik een beetje verpest ben als ik op mijn laptop zit en geen SPSS bij de hand heb en/of niet op Remote Access zit.
