I can understand people that don't want to build here on the Fediverse because of technical limitations of the protocol. But if *that*'s really the reason, and not an excuse for the social reasons, why not build over other open protocols with the same features as AT, but not controlled by Nazi-friendly cryptogrifters, like SSB or even something that is AP-compatible like the stuff developed by Mike MacGirvin?
