#Journal of a saddened Dutch Pixy (Tuesday, 04/11/2025).

I didn't have a good night. I was very tired, and I just wanted to sleep, but I kept waking up and being uncomfortable for some reason... In the end, I did manage to get some sleep in, and when the alarm woke me up, I was feeling exhausted. 😔 The scale wasn't too bad, but I think it was a bit wonky, as it gave me some muscle readings that were amazing if they were true! 😂 I got dressed, took my meds, packed my bag, and headed to Skoosh.

I saw that I received some messages from a sweet friend that I had not heard from in a while, so it was lovely to catch up with them during the night. I went to the seated bike and before I knew it, the half hour was done. 😊 I enjoyed the massage chair after that and then I got ready to head back home again.

It was the 4th... Which meant that I was struggling. Memories of the night of the 4th from 4 months ago kept popping up in my head. 😭 I tried to distract myself. Washed up when I got home. Then I wrote my Sunday journal Toot, as I had not done so before, and I needed it to be able to finish the journal post on my blog. I finished the toot and then I worked on the post. After that was done, I also finished up another post, so that felt nice.

I went upstairs and I rode the bike for half an hour. Did my leg exercises as well. And checked on the pressure of the heat pump and it was still at 2,2, so that was a good sign. I swept the floors and emptied the upstairs bin. Then I went downstairs where I also emptied the other little bins into the big one. It would be gray bin say on Wednesday, so it felt good to have it ready to be set outside in time (not until Wednesday morning, but usually I need to rush to get it ready in time and now it was done, yay me!).

I enjoyed some breakfast and then I went outside for a short walk. I needed a bit of fresh air and distraction. It was getting closer to "that time", and I kept having flashbacks to that night and early morning. 😢 When I got back, I went to work on my puzzle. I needed the distraction and I hoped that Dumbo would be able to help me with that. I do hope that it will get easier with time. I don't ever want to feel like I'm forgetting about my gall, I could never do that! But I would not mind to remember her without feeling so sad and lonely... There are so many beautiful memories, and funny things she did, and I would love to be able to smile and laugh and fill my heart with that... But I keep feeling sad because those memories remind me of all that we had and I have lost when she passed away... 😭

I focused on the puzzle, with Star Trek Voyager on my phone as well. Around the time of her death, I shared a picture of her on Pixelfed, remembering her... Around 10, I stopped working on the puzzle. I made some food and after that, I got ready to head to Cuijk.

When I just entered Cuijk, bestie called me. So we had a short talk, until I arrived at the physio. I waited for a while there, and then my PT did his best to loosen me up some. After that, I went to Lidl and got some bits. I headed back home, where I cleaned up the groceries and then I got ready to head out with the neighbor and her black 🖤 fluff.

After a nice walk, I relaxed a little and then I got ready for bed. After an episode of Voyager, I got my MyNoise® soundscape on, grabbed my eReader, and I fell asleep reading. I woke once for the loo, and then another time as I was feeling a bit cold. I grabbed an extra plaid, and after that, I slept until the alarm told me to get up again. I was still a bit tired, but it wasn't as bad as yesterday. The scale wasn't too bad, so after that, I got dressed and ready to start my "day".

Pirate Candidate Announcement: Hunter Rand for Sparks City Council 2nd Ward

The United States Pirate Party, during our November 2nd meeting, voting to endorse Hunter Rand, who is running for 2nd Ward of the Sparks, Nevada city council!

The Pirate National Committee voted unanimously to endorse Hunter Rand.

This is not Hunter’s first time being involved with the party. Previously, Hunter was a guest speaker during our 2022 Pirate National Conference.

“He is a Pirate” is the sentiment echoed during last night’s meeting.

Hunter, pitching his campaign, went through our platform and discussed how “potholes don’t care who you vote for.”

“I don’t want to be a career politician and everything I do reflects that. My website isn’t ‘Hunter Rand for Office’ or ‘Hunter Rand for Ward 2′”.
