The German equivalent to US nonprofits allows one third of all income to be paid to the CEO.
That is only one important fact regarding #Mastodon which was a fine project back in 2015.
What has happen since should be published in full.
I know some people will tremble at this, especially in Texas, from what I have seen, but not not captured, though I should have.

in reply to Tim Bray • • •I'm also working on a client and Mastodon's API is so much better than Bluesky's. The latter's just a mess and confusing. Like enterprise software.
Nostr is ok, but different because it uses websockets.
(Also some people would want to have words with you on how well email still works. Google and Microsoft have made it very hard to run one's own server because they refuse to deliver mail that's not from their own servers.)
