Ok so track 3 of This Could Be the Beginning is next up. I am so excited to get this album released and then Icarus will arrive after that!! Meanwhile I’ll be running tests for acoustic recordings of Blossom 🌸 the harp and revisiting some instrumental electric guitar and synth experiments that I would like to shine up a little and release! Trying to keep focused and calm so that I can move through these smoothly and get some more projects finished ✅ :blobcatcoffee:

I just have this really big feeling that I need to try to move faster to get this music out for someone else to hear, while I can. That sounds silly and ominous but I’m affected by the plights of my gone-too-soon ghost mentors. :blobcatcoffee:

I had my album Please Stand Here (roofhare.bandcamp.com/album/pl…) on ice for at least two years. I was just not ready to release it. Then I asked @triumcirculorum to master it for me and it changed everything. I am so very happy with this album. So, what I mean to say is, don’t rush it. The album with be ready when you are. Sometime all you need is another set of trusted ears.

I'm proud to have a collaboration with @arendleejessurun as the kick-off track for the new album. Arend mixed and mastered Goddamn, and was kind enough to play bass on it as well. Viva la federacion!

winter has arrived. here in finland it means lots of cocoa, woolly socks and nesting at home.

in Gaza it means storms, strong winds tearing shelters and cold water flooding tents, ruins and broken homes that offer no protection from the elements nor the israeli violence.

Nothing has radicalised me more than seeing how the government completely elimimated homelessness during the pandemic and yet after it was done we were right back to pretending it was impossible.

exactly. Here in Canada we paid for homeless people to stay in hotel rooms, we bought entire hotels out, we literally got people off the street in droves and they essentially had housing. and then the pandemic ended and we kicked them back to the streets. It didn't make any fucking sense. We were essentially paying their rent and then decided "nah, not like this."

The pandemic forced us to suddenly solve many things. homelessness, congestion on roads and in downtown cores, in Canada we essentially had UBI, we fixed things and then...we decided to go back to how things were before simply because a few powerful rich people wanted more money.

@rozodru the pandemic didn't even end, it just became possible for the economy to continue functioning while letting vulnerable people die, and everyone just went along with it.

mastodon.social/@MAKS23/115708… MAKS23@mastodon.social - ✅🇺🇸🇺🇦 Trump gave Ukraine the "green light" to strike the Russian shadow fleet, - The Atlantic

If under Joe Biden the American side feared escalation and opposed attacks on Russian ships in international waters, then with the advent of Donald Trump the approach changed.

In particular, he objected to strikes on tankers in international waters and in a number of cases approved the transfer of intelligence to Kyiv, which was used to damage Russian oil infrastructure.

I go back and forth between wanting to find my Spot in a dark cozy library reading room and not be perceived by anyone ever, and wanting to be acknowledged publically and with financial support for the dedication to creativity I show every day. I hope this year I can navigate this and build a path to stability with my music that works well. :blobcatcoffee:
