Day 12: Having stayed up late, making my Desktop usable by installing an OS that actually works...210 words is a solid number. I gradually explored the reasons why Donovan was made a Knight to the Druid King Kelian. As well as did some character building for Kelian.
For winging the fuck out of this new scene, I did pretty good!

The European Union on Friday
indefinitely froze Russia’s assets in Europe
to ensure that Hungary and Slovakia,
both with Moscow-friendly governments,
can’t prevent the billions of euros from being used to support Ukraine.
Using a special procedure meant for economic emergencies,
the EU blocked the assets until Russia gives up its war on Ukraine
and compensates its neighbor for the heavy damage that it has inflicted for almost four years.
EU Council President António Costa said European leaders had committed in October
“to keep Russian assets immobilized until Russia ends its war of aggression against Ukraine
and compensates for the damage caused.
Today we delivered on that commitment.”

But I think this will mostly be a staff decision, now that they have their marching orders.
I suspect they'll start posting to all the platforms, rather than picking one winner.
Unfortunately if any platform gets left off the list I suspect it will be Mastodon, because that would require either choosing an instance (which could be perceived as a political choice, which staff will probably want to avoid) or setting up their own instance, which would have a higher bar with respect to research, planning, and implementation.
It's just for the City Clerk account in any case, which is pretty obscure and housekeepingish.
