A portion of the autumn Milky Way in Cassiopeia.

Essentially no nebulosity, only star clouds, dark clouds, and a handful of small star clusters.

[Edit/add: at the middle of the very top edge of the frame I caught the starburst galaxy IC 10.]

See the 4th photo, which is a close crop of the first photo with blue lines bracketing the galaxy.

"IC 10 is the only known starburst galaxy in the Local Group of galaxies."

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IC_10

This monochrome image is panchromatic - all wavelengths of visible light from violet to deep red.

Here's a description of the image:

This is a close-up, overhead shot of a table setting with three dishes and a teapot. The largest dish is a large, white bowl filled with reddish-brown broth containing pieces of meat and numerous red chili peppers, garnished with chopped green onions. To the left of the bowl is a square, white plate with stir-fried meat and sliced green peppers, with a reddish sauce. In the upper-left corner, there's a blue bowl filled with green vegetables in a clear broth. To the right of the bowl with vegetables is a pile of white rice and a glass of water. A ceramic teapot with a bamboo handle is also visible in the background.

The text on the bowl with vegetables appears to read “好汤” and the text on the bowl with stir-fried meat appears to read “好菜.”

@chekov There was no release of the stock Pixel OS for the Pixel 7a this month, likely due to a major Wi-Fi bandwidth regression. It hasn't received stable Android 16 QPR2 officially yet. We got reports of users reproducing the issue and haven't decided if we should release what we currently have to Stable or not yet. We used the final Android 16 QPR2 Beta factory images for it which are nearly the same as the stable release images for the other devices.

thanks for tagging p7a with the dec 17 release despite the upstream WiFi regression. I use it as my canary for more important features and was waiting since dec 12 for the pending security patches before joining some famous hacker conference #39c3.
How would you decide for future similar release blocking features when security patches are pending and the overall device farm gets more and more dispersed?

Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides)

This was taken in near total darkness, with a hand held, 300mm 1 second exposure. I love this camera and lens!

And thank you to the Tawny, who was happy staying perfectly still for my long exposure :)

Currently enjoying the benefits of the Norovirus weight loss program. The best part is this costs $0. Amazing.

All the best! I too know the feeling and mostly have been in a similar boat as you (self-employed), just a for a few years less... There're always plenty of low cognitive load tasks at hand and I learned a while ago to listen more to my body and try to deal with those and/or rest when needed. Obviously not always possible, but lots of deadlines and all-nighters (when I was younger) also trained me in napping, now almost can go to sleep on demand, sometimes within a minute... Not a comparison to the rest needed when falling ill, but I think it helped with resilience...

@toxi

I do love a good nap!

I gave myself a massive challenge this trip. Just wasn't any way around it, had to go through it. Pretty tough six weeks but got enough naps early on to keep my sanity in tact.

Even a ten minute power nap can make such a difference. Anyway, looking forward to getting back north and being a sloth for a bit with Santa.
