Why is Keir Starmer so hellbent on digital ID? Two words: Tony Blair. At @thenerve_news we’ve tracked Blair’s influence - & his billionaire backer Larry Ellison - behind a policy that nobody asked for & almost nobody wants. 1/
in reply to Carole Cadwalladr

Starmer has zero convincing arguments for a £1.6bn policy that wasn’t in the manifesto. But if you’re a billionaire Silicon Valley bro - as Blair’s financial patron, Larry Ellison is - building a centralised database has many enticing possibilities 2/ www.thenerve.news/p/digital-id...

1/ "My fellow USians, for anyone who is concerned about the state of abortion in the US, or who wants to ensure access to abortion in the US, once again I implore you to NOT donate to Planned Parenthood but to the Abortion Care Network.
in reply to Chris McCabe

2/ As the 2025 Communities Need Clinics report demonstrates, independent clinics are providing the majority of abortions, the majority of choice in type of abortion, and the majority of the later abortions, with only a FRACTION of the funding that PP has. If you are considering making a donation to ensure abortion access in the US, I encourage you to support your independent clinics and support your local abortion fund." -from a friend

The image is a dark purple rectangle with white text. The text is arranged in multiple lines and appears to be a political statement.

The text reads: "Uneducated voters will ALWAYS pose a FAR greater threat to this nation than an undocumented immigrant EVER will." The font is a bold, sans-serif style and is centered within the purple background. There are no other images or graphics present. The overall tone is assertive and potentially controversial, using strong language such as "ALWAYS" and "EVER."

Palestinians call for mobile homes, caravans as tents have worn out

People are now asking for mobile houses, caravans. They don’t want tents any more.

They’re saying that they’ve been asking for tents for the past two years, they have been living with the same plastic sheets and tarps for the past two years, and they’re all fragile and worn out.

This is ceasefire; this is supposed to be a phase where Palestinians get a little break from everything they went through during their displacement.

Israel, till this point, restricts all types of mobile houses and caravans, where Palestinians are still feeling homeless despite the fact that they’ve been living in tents for the past two years, but this winter storm made them lose everything they had again.

Palestinians not only want their mobile houses, but they also want their basic necessities. Blankets, winter items, jackets, and even shoes. We saw a lot of barefoot children walking in the streets in the past couple of weeks.

"Consider yourselves lucky we haven't blown you and your children to small bits. Frankly we'd rather do that than give you a new tent." -- Israel, most likely

I know you are smart enough to know that republicans are in this to help the rich fat cats. Don't be fooled, they are not our friends. Vote 💙💙💙 they are for you, regular everyday Americans.

The image is a text-based graphic with a dark red background. The text is white and appears to be a rhetorical question and a statement.

The text reads verbatim: "Do you really think the left is radical? Or did, just maybe, someone TELL you to think that? Because there's NOTHING radical about wanting to take the military off our streets, fair wages, science, healthcare, or to keep our kids fed, housed, and safe."

The text is broken up into several lines and uses capitalization for emphasis ("NOTHING"). The overall tone of the text appears to be challenging a perception and asserting that certain desires are not extreme. There are no images or other visual elements besides the text on a solid color background.
