Trying to not let the intimidation/imposter syndrome feeling win.
2.5d is easy to do in godot. use the 3d tools to render the map but treat all movement like a grid. (which is also what grimrock does.)
in the pre-godot days i tried to make a dungeon crawler and got filtered by affine transforms (sampling the map to fill the screen after each movement.)
It's not my fault, thatβs how Diaspora* put the words together. And yeah, I noticed it also.
