I'm super annoyed at the trend of bands putting giant screens on stage just to play either random stock footage of nordic landscapes with filters or AI-animated versions of their album art. I feel treated like an iPad baby who can't watch a performance without giant flashy bling screens. It completely fucks up the rest of the lighting, and it adds nothing of value more often than not. :| And yesterday's footage kept crashing too, and thankfully they then turned them off lol
I've got nothing against well made video installations. But just adding random cheap visuals for the sake of it, nah man i prefer watching guys and/or gals headbang or communicate with the sound people with funny gestures, but they become just little shadows if a super bright screen blasts my eyes from behind them.
Iâm under orders so much as I would love to turn totally Scrooge & leave it until Christmas morning Mrs S would view it with a certain amount of displeasure!
