We #knitters can sometimes get a bit snobby regarding materials, for example by insisting that the only viable option is (superwash) wool. Today, I'm wearing my #Latvian infinity scarf featuring a symbol called Aka or Ozoliņš (the Well, or the Little Oak depending on the region), knitted in 100% acrylic. I made it when I was a poor student and there was no way for me to afford almost 400g of pure wool. In this, the tradition meets the modernity.
