I find the part about proximity notification somewhat weak. Do you have a reference for that? I found none that actually investigated the effect on the R-value.

When we saw notifications, we looked back when that could have happened.

It allowed getting ahead of the spreading: if you got a proximity notification, you usually were not infectious yet.

But it only helped while contact notification meant that you could stay at home or at least step up protection.
