"''I don't want to drive housing prices down,' he said — as seen in the admittedly off-putting animation above. 'I want to drive housing prices up for people who own homes.'
You don't need to be a stable genius to understand where the winners and losers are in this scenario."

Whaddaya mean, 'home'?

We’re not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody that didn’t work very hard can buy a home.'
Oh? People haven’t worked hard enough? Really?"

in reply to William Lindsey • • •the funny thing is a house is a depreciating asset and needs maintenance invested.
without that, the only real way he can raise prices is by devaluing the dollar. he certainly isn't making houses inherently more valuable in a "warzone".
why does inflation always get pitched as the opposite of what it is, when it means our money is worth less

in reply to Becca • • •I would LOVE to see house price increases reported as a split between secular price growth (i.e., relative to a basket of other household costs) and inflation (i.e. the remaining inflation component) and also as a multiple of annual wages.
