So, we got to know and learned about the amazing open-source and sharing/gift-economy approach that comes with so many advantages. However, we will learn that technology and its use is always depending on the cultural environment that it is being developed and used. Since our societies today are based on trade and therefore profit maximization, we can experience the use and abuse of technology for profit. In this video we will examine some examples, like the Tor Browser, the peer-to-peer-technology and others. We will also debunk the myth of science and technology as a savior and that these will create the best society.
