This is a Holocaust Memorial event opposed to all genocides.

Stephen Kapos survived the Holocaust in Hungary. He's an artist and campaigner against the Gaza genocide.

Prof. Hugh Brody is a son of a Holocaust survivor. He's an expert in the often genocidal treatment of Indigenous peoples.

Mark Etkind, son of a Holocaust survivor, facilitates.

I am so glad I have now seen this recording, I really wish I could have been there (via ZOOM).
I am writing this from my pocket computer (mobile phone) so not going to say all I would like to.
I appreciate a discussion such as this could easily run on for an inordinate amount of time. The panel here managed to cover so much ground, it was impressive given the short nature of the event.

@danielmipne it was an extraordinary event, so glad you could see it. Mark was the genius behind it. Hugh and Stephen fantastic, plus Agatha, also a survivor from the audience (not sure if sound picks it up). And some strong contributions from young women.

Alternatives to Zoom?

If you want an alternative that is instant (3-clicks) for people AND no software / nothing needed / ultra-fast... then USE #Jitsi / #JitsiMeet as #opensource #alternative - links below

➡️ meet.nadeko.net/UCL123 (any name)

➡️ jitsi.freifunk-duesseldorf.de/… (any name)

It's ultra-fast and has moderating etc, try these instances:

Keep Zoom mainly as emergency backup is my advice!

Have both but use / practise alternatives first.

Let me know what you think

Jitsi instances do screen share and almost everything with low resources - good for older folks / older systems too...

"Stephen Kapos". In the context, a name to conjure with… I'll try to come along and will spread the word.
