Something weird going on in the sideyard. A #raccoon, three feral cats and a possum are back there all at the same time and I swear it looks like they are having a summit. #PaulsRaccoonWar

Cats are on the carport looking out at the raccoon who is in the grass off to the left and the possum is in the grass opposite to the right.

Clearly, the big orange color cat is in charge. This is the first time we've seen these cats.

First raccoon since the roof construction started. It's been a while.

The coon looks elderly and a bit worn to the fur

Eventually they all left in the same direction

Earlier in the day we had a half a dozen red cardinals bathing back there at the same time

The cats probably read that article about raccoons self-domesticating and aren't having any of it.

@roknrol I'd rather have cats around than raccoons, esp after the raccoons already caused thousands of dollars in damages in the past.

Indeed, but once they learn to be a little cuter and a little less destructive cats will have some serious competition.
