Please make sure Please make sure to use Barracuda as MySQL DB file format for your Friendica database. Change your database settings before you proceed with the Friendica update. There seems to be no way to know the format under mariadb (10.3.27), nor any way to do anything about it.

[UPDATE] Apart from that the upgrade went flawlessly.

I had the same question.
The answer of the sql-command “show global variables“ in phpMyAdmin was a list of settings that also contained the database-file-system. In my case named "Barracuda".

@Michael Vogel should one check before or just run the command and see what happens?

Also a year ago there was some discussion here: https://forum.friendi.ca/display/3516d96d-13b224a97607a7a8-843f562d

@Michael Vogel Well there is a week or so to add new stuff for the next RC phase ;-)
in reply to Friendica News

Uhmm, I can only thank you all, works like a charm this far :-)
in reply to Friendica News

And the categories indeed seem to be fixed. I'm a happy user

Umm. I cannot 'like' anything. I mean, I switched from latest RC to stable. This should be the same code. But...

Uncaught ReferenceError: doLikeAction is not defined

Firefox 88. Cleared the cache. Didn't help. :thinking face

Not liking the error but I do not have this. Updated using git and I have the same firefox version. Are you behind some proxy?
in reply to Tobias

@Tobias Depends on which likes. I liked a lot ;-) - then I switched to stable - now I have the problem.
in reply to Steffen K9 🐰

@Tobias For example I tried to like your comment "I see your likes...". No luck. Doesn't work. #luftfeuchtigkeit

Hans Wolters reshared this.

in reply to Steffen K9 🐰

@Steffen K9 🐰 are you using specific ff settings? I have a strict control of cookies / trackers and that was not a problem

Hans Wolters reshared this.

in reply to Hans Wolters

@Hans Wolters Yes. I use strict privacy settings in FF. But I tried to switch to default and it doesn't work either. Also, on two other nodes (same browser, same server, same settings) it works flawlessly.
in reply to Steffen K9 🐰

Oh! Something is wrong with the buttons. On mobile i see: like, comment, share, quote share. But it should be: like, comment, share (which opens the selector for share and quote share).
When I check on venera.social, the buttons are right.
in reply to Steffen K9 🐰

Ok. Issue solved. I deleted all files in ...view//smarty3/compiled/. Now the buttons are correct and I can like again.
in reply to Friendica News

Still would like some help with my posting problem. I can post comments but not posts on my own site.

@Roland Häder I don't think that the PRs to development so far have destabilized the version compared to the stable release.
