I want to get better at discerning good sources from bad. I'd also like to help other people do the same.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions on approachable ways to learn to read #scientific #studies and other technical material and also ensure they are properly peer reviewed, have good #methodologies, etc?
I'd like to be able to read studies without having to have my masters or doctorate in the subject and feel comfortable that I'm reading real science. #askFedi #science

For study designs relevant to human health, each critical appraisal tool has a short list of questions to consider, followed by an explanatory paragraph about each question. What's great is that it's tailored to different study designs. I recommend this suite of resources to public health/medical students all the time.
