"If anyone attempts to insult or assault your opponent, defend your opponent (non-violently) with your life." - Gandhi

How about you spare your life to defend your allies? How about not calling an attack on a human (yourself) nonviolence?

Oh, wait, forgot that I shall not question but must 🎉

Learning a bit about Anarchy in Nepal, and as some inspiration was taken from anarchists in India, just a few links later I ended up at these incredible amusing Satyagraha doctrine.

Here's an interview with an anarchist from #Nepal that participated in the so called GenZ protests that 'ousted the prime minister, released prisoners and left the parliament in smoldering ruins.' I'm just grateful that Gandhi ain't not guiding these protest.

perhaps this touches on what I was posting about?

My understanding is that the British would have gotten rid of Gandhi if he had at all posed a violent threat. Nonviolence was somehow an effective shield in that situation for him and crew to organize and prefigure the India to come. (I presume there were also violent uprisings and campaigns by others, "radical flanks", etc)

Sure, there were a lot more proto-Indians than British, and a violent campaign may well have succeeded. But maybe not.

Last year was the 500 anniversary of the German Peasant's War en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_P… which is why I heard about it. Even though the Peasants outnumbered the feudal forces 50 to 1, the Peasants were slaughtered and the forces suffered few losses.

Point I take is that organization >>> numbers - but organization takes uninterrupted time and effort

... and no-violence, however Bourgeois and contemptable it looks may provide that un-interruption while providing cover for people wanting to use other tactics to network...

(I am a bit sorry for this essay. On a train 😅)
