While Democrats are likely to be glad to have another vote in the House, Grijalva might be greeted warmly by an unlikely figure: Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky), who, alongside Rep. Ro Khanna (D-California), is collecting signatures for a discharge petition to force a vote on a bill requiring the Justice Department to release all unclassified files related to the investigation into Epstein, who died in prison while awaiting trial in 2019. (A discharge petition is a method of bringing a bill to the floor when the House speaker refuses to do so.) The petition had 216 signatures before Walkinshaw won his special election this month, with all House Democrats and four Republicans supporting it. Walkinshaw signed on shortly after being sworn in, and Grijalva’s assent would be the final signature of support needed to reach the 218 it needs to force a vote.

Harris carried the district with 61%, so quite a shift even in a majority Dem district.

Yeah, I know - it happens a lot that I cannot see a post someone is replying to even when I follow the person who wrote the post being replied to. I don't know why it happens. My guess is it's a peculiarity of the organization between different servers.

I don't use an app - browser (google) only. It happens on both my desktop and my tablet. If it's something I'm really curious about, I go to the account timeline and look for the post being replied to but most of the time I just shrug and move on.

for the post to be on your server, someone on your server had to boost it (as well as other rules, but this might be it)

i checked: no one from mastodon.online boosted my post

there may be an option to show what mastodonmigraton replied to in the drop down for their comment. or look for menu options or places to click in the thread

or maybe it's as simple as a page refresh
