This has been going on for decades. For as long as I've been old enough to be politically aware, Republicans have *always* demonized Democrats (in particular) but really anyone not right-wing like themselves as evil, God-hating, Anti-American, trying to make the U.S. fall from grace with God, etc., etc.

Honestly, it's such inane and insane bullshit that I not only don't want to listen to it, but that plus what they want causes me to describe them as a cancer destroying our nation.
