in reply to nixCraft 🐧 • • •We were all supposed to have fiber to the home in 2001, too, yet here I am. Thirty five miles from Silicon Valley and still no fiber 25 years later.
AT&T still only offers DSL(!!) next to Xfinity cable or wireless from the local ISP.
At least I finally terminated the OM1 fiber I installed in 2000, along with RG6 and cat5e. The tools are still prohibitively expensive, but I can afford it now.
