Unforeseen circumstances made me forcefully move to Linux. I was not prepared for this, and kind of bad timing when I wanted to participate in #Genuary2025 with WebGPU. It kind of works on #Firefox, so I have that going for me.

BTW about the unforeseen circumstances that made me move to #Linux. I actually wanted to move to Linux because of Microsoft, I don't want to use Windows 11 and their Recall feature is over the top. But I'm a dev and I still need Windows, so I made a dual boot; the unforeseen part is that it didn't work. So I'm right now only on #LinuxMint, and eventually I will reinstall Windows for smaller things, but I'm not going back.

I'm liking #LinuxMint so far, but as a Windows and Mac user, the #UX on Linux is not the best, coming from operating systems where things just work I understand why Linux is not the number one.

As a dev, pretty cool to configure EVERYTHING. As a user, really stupid that a website recommends comand line instructions to install something when the download of a installer is an option.

check out a distro that supports KDE Plasma. Mint's not as nice as it seems.

@zstg I've heard good things about KDE, but I'm not interested right now. Also what I meant regarding UX is not UI, is about the whole #linux experience which is a blocker for a regular user
