Lead story in the Süddeutsche Zeitung today: "The great dumbing down...How the US government is destroying the world's collective knowledge."
Our nation is not only an embarrassment in history. It is destructive of intelligence.

the dumming down is a tried & tested method of #autocratic regimes to rapidly phase out any worthwile opposition & dissent. My prediction, the effect of this dumming down will shows itself in clear daylight during the #midterms2026 when despite the majority’s hope odpf change there will not be a #bluewave as the #trumpadministration will have gutted all the smart (& thinking) election officials

The assault on intelligence has been a long term goal of many.

Is unfortunate that the rest of the world bought into the bullshit self-aggrandisement that the US foisted upon everyone for the past century or so, instead of treating it as the racist fraud it always has been.

Books endured millenia, spread all over the world, conserving the knowledge. The Germans tried burning the books but they failed. Religion destroyed much knowledge and science once. In the digital age you only need one stupid president who flips the power switch and it's all gone in a microsecond and it will be worse that all the centuries before because mostly there is no copy of it left.

Se está democratizando el conocimiento y su capacidad para lograr una vida digna y eso los políticos no lo van a poder soportar...

I feel sorry for Americans, I saw this coming on his first presidency.

And that’s a conservative newspaper in Germany, if I remember correctly.

Surely you understand that nobody can be more educated than the Glorious Leader.

So a bachelor degree (not earned, but bought with Daddy's money) is the maximum education level allowed in the Trumpland.

My ancestor came from Germany in 1743. I grew up splitting my time between the USA and Germany. I served in the US Army primarily in Germany. I went to college in Germany. We Americans get a lot of things right but in this moment we're the dumbest f**ks on the planet.
