I requested to add simple feature but not added yet.... Mark ur important emails with 🌟

Hell yeah recommended. Dev work is moving slow (still waiting for the online storage) but still recommended 100%.

I think I would stop using tuta if they ever decided to put AI into their ecosystem in any sort of way.

That was the specific reason I chose them over Proton or Gmail, so I'm glad to see that it has only been requested by 3 per cent of the survey takers.

@eltrew Hey! Thanks for sharing this, we do not plan to introduce AI assistants like other email providers are.

love love hearing the results of the survey! And it looks like the team is great at selecting and knowing what is possible to accomplish - recently updated to a paid account for the calendar and trying to convince my spouse to switch from gmail to tuta so we can have a shared calendar! My parents tried the free version but spam basically ran my mom off her account πŸ˜”

A note on the web app, for me personally I use the android app most, then the web because I do most of my desktop work while I'm at my work computer, and I can't download any apps onto it, so I'm thankful I can still access it from the web! My personal laptop is an Ubuntu, and I found it confusing to download the app there, and find the layout similar enough to the web that I don't really feel drawn to using it.

Excited to see all the updates and improvements, especially to the Tuta Calendar Widget!

Nice to hear, just note that search is much better on the apps compared to the web client.

Serious Inbox search is a killer feature missing in Tuta. The current requirement to fully offline the inbox to make it searchable is something I find very difficult.

Any research done on zero-knowledge search, or on maintaining an encrypted search index that's updated by the client with incoming mail?

Client API is another thing I'd love to see.

in reply to Seachaint

Search is much better on the apps, desktop and mobile, because browser functionality is too limited. This is because we handle search locally so that on the server everything can stay encrypted - as it should!
in reply to Tuta

I use the desktop and mobile apps, yes. It's still a pretty poor search experience because of the fully local-only nature. I know why it works this way but i think a client-decrypted index could still be a valuable way to make the experience less frustrating.
