You guys, it took my husband 12 minutes to vote for the European Parliament, from the moment he left the house to go to the polling station to the moment he took off his shoes back at home.

I realize that Germany is much smaller and more densely populated than the US, so the distances to polling places are shorter. But on top of that, Germany votes on Sundays when the majority of eligible voters don't have to work. Democracy CAN be made easy if we WANT it!
