I bought a Samsung N210 a few days ago. I paid €17.98 with shipping. A good deal, I think. Perfectly functional. It just lacks the F11 key (which works anyway) & its power supply/charger.
Ideally, I would like to install a dual boot Windows XP/Linux to dedicate it to #retrogaming.
I will get it this week. :0)
Do any of you have experience with this little machine?

in reply to Woodoo Prod • • •I finally received this Samsung N210, in very good condition! The battery still has a very good autonomy & the power supply/charger that I had, is compatible & does its job. Even if it's not original. Finally, here is the plan for the hard drive:
- #MSDOS 6.22 (or #FREEDOS 1.4?)
- Windows XP Professional
- Games Partition
- A compatible Linux: any recommendation?

in reply to Woodoo Prod • • •I just installed MSDOS 6.22 by cloning a backup ( mastodon.cloud/@WoodooProd/113…) . I will have to edit a lot of things in the config files, but I saved time. Hope to #BBS over #MSDOS again soon! :0)
I've upgraded the memory to 2Go. I think It's the maximum for this machine, "constructor said".

At this point, all is going good! :0)
To choose the Boot Device at startup just press ESC..
(Yeah, it's a different one on many machine, sometimes hell, haha)

Running Windows XP Disks Management we see we have 4 partitions: 1.) MSDOS. 2.) Windows XP. 3.) The partition for Games (and data). And 4.) the last one to install a Linux distrib (still not created).
Things are still going good! :0)
