The Netherlands has not beaten the radical right.

We may get lucky this time (still counting votes), but the far-right bloc remains stable.

Our fight for democracy is far from over.

Here's the alt-text for the image you sent:

The image is a digital graphic displaying a stylized chart or graph. The chart has a blue background and features a vertical axis labeled "Percentage" and a horizontal axis labeled "Time." Several lines representing data points traverse the graph, all using different colors. A text label in the top left corner reads "FvD's seat loss since 2019" and a similar label on the bottom right corner reads "Source: Politieke Barometer." The data points on the chart show a decline over time, indicating seat losses for the FvD party. The overall impression is that the graphic is intended to visually represent the decrease in the party's support or representation.

even worse

Assume that of the 13,4 million people eligible to vote 78,4% voted = ~10.5M people. This implies a seat requires ~70,000 votes (150 seats / 10,5M).

Based on chart: roughly 70*70K=4,9 million voted for radical-right parties in The Netherlands. 4,9M from the 10,5M is roughly 47% & might be more. See ALT text for sources.

I can't imagine what it must feel for everyone directly under attack by far-right ideology 😔
