in reply to Kev Quirk • • •It's unique to GNOME (and Cinnamon as a GNOME fork). They do not implement support for what is known as "server-side decorations" (where the desktop draws the window borders) using the xdg-decoration Wayland protocol. Every other desktop does, however.
I use #KDE #PlasmaDesktop (through the #Fedora KDE Plasma Desktop Edition) and virtually all applications except GNOME ones use server side decorations and provide consistent access to window management functionality.
